            Om shanti Oshana is an excellent fun filled movie, that has added suspense and rumour. Recommended for all the malayalis to be watched. Give it a 5 star.

Storyline
The story begins in 1983 at a hospital, where Dr. Mathew Devasya anxiously paces the halls of a delivery room. He finds out soon enough that he has been blessed with a boy, for which he praises God. A man sitting nearby tells Dr. Mathew that a baby girl would have been problematic because he would have had to worry all his life. The nurse brings out the baby at that moment, but announces that she had made a mistake. The baby is a girl. As Dr. Mathew exchanges a glances at the man sitting nearby. He praises God once again and thanks his blessings.
The comical narrative then paces forward to 1999. The baby girl, Pooja Mathew, has grown up to become a tomboy in grade 10. She introduces the audience to her father, a doctor, who enjoys recording and listening to his own renditions of songs on tape. Annie is Pooja's mother, a college lecturer who loves cooking and appreciates her own culinary skills. She also has two friends Neetu, a flirt, and Donna, a foodie. The audience is guided through Pooja's childhood as a tomboy with a bike and a friendship with Rachel Aunty who brews wine. As "Wine" Aunty brews a new batch, Pooja is there as her taster. During one of their sessions, she advises Pooja to marry a man whom she loves or risk learning to love a stranger that she is forced to marry. Pooja decides then that she must find someone herself. She settles on Yardley, a popular boy in her school. During a trip with her classmates to an amusement park, Yardley himself approaches Pooja with a proposal. As Pooja ponders whether or not to accept the following day, she and her friends are teased by a gang of men. Pooja gets upset and decides to confront them. Just then, Giri, a farmer/social worker in her village comes by and saves the day. Pooja instantly falls for Giri, and lets Yardley know that she isn't overwhelmed by any feelings of love for him. Over the course of the rest of the film, Pooja tries constantly to attract Giri's attention. At one point, she learns from her cousin Kaanjani that another one of her cousin's, Julie, used to be Giri's girlfriend. But she had cheated on him and was married off to another man. On Giri's birthday, which occurred on a Palm Sunday (Oshaana), Pooja decides that she will propose to him by bringing a locket for him.It starts raining and they get into the temple. But Giri tells her that she is just a kid, and that she needs to concentrate on her studies because she is destined to become great in her life.The locket falls from Pooja's hand and she goes crying Pooja is distraught. But life goes on and Pooja clears her medical entrance exams to go to Kozhikode Medical College. She tries to contact Giri before she leaves, but learns that he's visiting China on a Kung Fu Academy trip. At the medical college, she is still friends with Neetu, but the trio is now completed with Anna. She also befriends a young professor, Dr. Prasad Varkey. During her final year, she runs into Giri again. She confides in Dr. Varkey about Giri and he advises her that time has passed and she should still try if she is that interested. When Giri's mom is admitted to the hospital, Pooja takes care of her hoping to get closer to Giri. When Giri's friend Thennal comes into the picture, Pooja loses hope thinking they are in a relationship. It's only later she realizes that Thennal is already married. Pooja comes home to stay with her parents and continues her pursuit of Giri by helping him with his social activities involving community weddings. During this time, she surprises him with a publication of his mother's book. Filled with increasing hope, Pooja's efforts seem to have been thwarted when she learns that Giri is getting married to Sreelakshmi, a childhood friend of Pooja's. But, one day after Church, Kaanjani approaches Pooja for help with something that requires the involvement of Giri. The two find Giri and let him know that Kaanjani is in love with Fathima and they need his help to elope. After Giri helps them, Kaanjani gives him a letter telling him only to read it after they've left. When Giri opens the letter, he finds out that Kaanjani has eloped with his betrothed Sreelakshmi. Later, on another Oshaana day, Pooja's Wine Aunty picks her up to meet with Giri. They go to the same place where she had first proposed to Giri. As she walks up to Giri, he confides in her about how he has loved her all along. Actually Giri liked her and he kept some memories like locket which Pooja gave him during her proposal .They get married soon after and Pooja ends her narrative tying the loose ends in which Dr. Varkey marries Anna, Neetu marries Yardley, and everyone has moved on in their lives. As for Giri and Pooja, they have a daughter named Julie (named after Giri's ex-girlfriend) and they live happily ever after.
